Why the difference in adoption prices?

This is one of the most common answers that I am asked.
I can only answer this question from personal experience. Having been in the
breed for a little while.... lol . I have a pretty good understanding of the dedication
and knowledge that go into a well thought out breeding. The difference in puppy
adoptions really boils down to a few simple things.

First, researching and obtaining GOOD,HEALTHY ,well bred Labradors to
hopefully produce the improvements that are needed in every breeding program
comes at a high price both emotionally and financially. If ya think I am wrong
just call up a well established breeder and tell 'em ya want a puppy that you can
breed later on. This isn't a hobby mentality for most ethical breeders, this is serious
and a lifetime of sacrifice and heartache, as well as those times your heart could
just burst with pride. There is alot of money that goes into a GOOD breeding
program, however there are those that take whatever small income their puppies
produce and keep it for themselves, never reinvesting in their Labs. We call people
that breed without regard, Back Yard Breeders and Puppy Mills...because that is
how they think of it. A Cash Business and Labs are just a product.....sad yet true
for some.

Second is simple ..Experience
Those is the breed KNOW their bloodlines. They know the breed and stand behind
it. A short health guarantee is a good sign that the experience isn't there yet. Those
with 12 month health guarantee's I try to avoid. You cannot even get the hips
OFA certified until they are 24 months,so by the time you figure out your little lab
comes from a less than quality breeding, your health guarantee is void. That's why
we offer a LIFETIME GUARANTEE!  It's about the investment you made in your
puppy and we stand behind them for a lifetime.

A mentor of mine many years ago told me this....
You can't expect to buy this year's  BMW from the bicycle store. Not all breedings
are created equal. Quality makes a difference........................
