Hi Tina, (Email Recv'd from Pipers Parents!) I thought you would like to see some recent pictures of Piper. She had a bath outside in the hose and she looked so cute with her fur all wet! She is doing great in puppy kindergarten. We will keep going with training after kindergarten is over moving on to intermediate and advanced. She is a fast learner! My husband and I went to an informational meeting last night at a area hospital about pet therapy. They had over 150 people show up for the meeting when they only expected 20! There is a huge interest in pet therapy right now in our community and I am thrilled to be able to do it with Piper. I think she has the perfect temperament for it. It was good to hear from a lady that has been doing it the last few years exactly what it takes from you and your dog. She is a strong believer in belonging to the delta society that does the certifying and support. We are probably a year away from being able to be certified but I can hardly wait! I have no doubt that God is going to use Piper in a mighty way to minister to people that are hurting in many ways. We are keeping you all in our prayers! We hope things are going well for you, your family and all your dogs and puppies. Love, Gail ps. thanks again for putting Piper's picture on your web site. It makes me so proud!

Hello Tina, I thought you might like to see a recent picture of Piper. She is beautiful! We are now taking classes from the local kennel club to become a Canine Good Citizen. That certification will put us one step closer to becoming a therapy dog. I am hoping next month that we can take the test with the Delta Society to be an official therapy dog. I'm not quite sure she is ready for that test yet, but hopefully at the end of the Canine Good Citizen classes I will know whether she is or not. I am so ready and anxious to begin therapy work with her! We are still greeting the school kids at the end of their day several times a week. I tell you she is so smart she knows exactly when 3:00 rolls around to go to the school. She goes and sits by the door waiting for me to leash her up. The kids absolutely adore her and are very disappointed if I miss a day with her. We are finding out also that Piper is very athletic. I am even thinking of trying Agility with her. Our primary focus is therapy work but she loves to be active too. The local kennel club has classes for it so maybe we will try that too. She is smart and can jump high when she is fetching balls, so maybe...... I hope everything is going well with you all. We still pray for you. I check your website every so often. Boy, you keep busy! Would there be anyway that I could see your nursery cam too or is that only for the perspective families that are getting one of the puppies? I do have a yahoo account. Please let me know if you have a chance. Thank you again for our beautiful Piper. She is a joy to us all! Love, Gail
!!! Congratulations Gail and Piper !!!
We are very pleased to announce that Piper has earned her CGC title! CGC (Canine Good Citizen) !!!!! Way to go Gail and Piper....much love to you both!
Hello Tina, Well, here are some pictures of Piper hard at work greeting the school kids. My friend Wendy ( in the second picture) is the person that crosses the kids after school. Tina, she was made to do this! She absolutely adores those kids and they her. Piper passed her Canine Good Citizen class with flying colors. The trainers were quite impressed with her obedience and one even said I should show her because of her form when she walks and stands (Daddy Doc's influence?) We still need to do our certification for therapy work. I'm thinking about doing it in the fall. Meanwhile, I am going to shadow a woman that takes her dog into nursing homes and hospitals. She also brings her dog into the library to have the kids read to her. It is called "Paws for reading". Cute! I am actually still hoping to make it into the school district to have school children read to Piper. They haven't yet implemented that in our school district, but I hope Piper will be the first. I am so excited about the possibilities of ministry with her. Thank you for praying over all of those puppies and giving me the absolute best one. She is surely a gift from Him in every way. Take care and God bless! Gail
